OFEK


OFEK e.V. is Germany's first counseling center specializing in anti-Semitism and community-based counseling. OFEK advises, accompanies, and supports those affected, their relatives, and witnesses of anti-Semitic incidents and acts of violence. OFEK stands impartially on the side of those seeking advice and sees its task as bringing Jewish perspectives into the social and political debate. OFEK's counseling is based on the specialist quality standards of professional victim counseling and applies to all cases with and without criminal elements. OFEK offers individual counseling, group services, a nationwide hotline, and regional support in Berlin, Hesse, Baden-Württemberg, Saxony, and Saxony-Anhalt. In addition to the regional counseling locations, OFEK has two regional reporting offices in Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt.



The Competence Center for Education and Research Critical of Anti-Semitism


The Competence Center for Education and Research Critical of Anti-Semitism, sponsored by the Central Welfare Office of Jews in Germany, was founded in Berlin in 2014. The competence center develops educational programs and projects, qualifies socio-political actors, and researches anti-Semitism in institutions with the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences. Since January 2020, the Competence Center has partnered with the Competence Network on Anti-Semitism, funded by the federal program "Demokratie Leben!" of the BMFSFJ. The Competence Center is based in Berlin and operates nationwide. With the triad of "education, research, and discourse," the institute aims to develop the field of anti-Semitism criticism further and to bring these findings to the specialist public through specialist conferences, study reports, and tailor-made educational and discourse formats. Lectures, workshops, and seminars can be requested at any time.
